Free Gazebo Concert on July 15

The Solid Jackson Groove Cats to entertain at the Jefferson Gazebo

            It is with great pleasure that the Jefferson Arts Committee’s Gazebo Committee announces that the popular jazz ensemble James L. Dean’s Solid Jackson Groove Cats will perform on Friday evening, July 15 at 7 PM at the gazebo located in the Jefferson Township Municipal Complex.  This is the second of seven free concerts  in the 2011 series in the beautiful Victorian Gazebo located in the Municipal Complex at 1033 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ. This concert is being sponsored by the Jefferson Township Gazebo Committee.

            A highly versatile group that plays a wide variety of styles ranging from 40's swing to rock standards, the dynamic Solid Jackson Groove Cats will perform and have you guessing many familiar theme songs with a twist.

            Enjoy “Uncorked,” an exciting township-based improv troupe (part of the Jefferson Community Players) who will perform during intermission.There will be audience participation and lots of laughs!

            Attendees are asked to bring a blanket or chair for their comfort; and non-alcoholic beverages, picnic dinners, and snacks are permitted on the grounds unless the concert is moved indoors due to weather conditions. Everyone is asked to please take their trash with them when they leave.

            In the event of the threat of inclement weather or such weather, the concert will be moved just up the street to the auditorium of the Jefferson Township High School, 1010 Weldon Road.
