25th Anniversary Fireworks will light up on the sky on July 9!

While many towns and cities have canceled their annual Fourth of July fireworks displays, the Jefferson Arts Committee is pleased to announce that their annual fireworks celebration will go on as usual during the 25th annual Jefferson Township Day anniversary celebration.  The only difference this year is that they will be bigger and better than ever before!

Following a township parade, contests, a full day of activities, arts/crafts/merchandise vendors, food, and continuous entertainment on the fields of the Jefferson Township High School located at 1010 Weldon Road in the Milton/Oak Ridge section of Jefferson Township, attendees can enjoy music under the stars to the special guest performance of The Robert Murdock Band’s British Invasion Tribute at 7:30 PM on the main stage.

Following the 50/50 raffle drawing and Mayor Russ Felter’s announcements of his Citizens of the Year awards, at approximately 9:30 PM. sit back and watch the skies light up for a spectacular, loud, and colorful fireworks display synchronized by the Interstate Fireworks Company.

Admission and parking are free throughout the entire day; however, at 5:30 PM, there will be a $2 per adult and $1 per child admission fee at all gates to help defray the cost of the event.  Bring a chair and or blanket for your seating comfort but no alcohol, drugs, fireworks, bicycles, pets, or large coolers.  Come have dinner or snacks at one of a dozen food vendor stands, enjoy the music on the main stage, and look up to the skies to watch with awe the best aerial fireworks display you  might see this summer.
