Mobile Video Games and i-Dance to "roll in" to Jefferson Township Day

Jefferson Township Day XXV will take on two brand-new activities this July 9th for all xBox 360, PS3, Wii System, and DDR enthusiasts as GameinRide rolls onto the field at the Jefferson Township High School.  The 50-foot long trailer and truck will open for fun and games at 2 pm and remain onsite until 7 pm to give attendees an opportunity to have some fun.

Everyone is invited to come play in the mobile, self-contained, video game state-of-the-art 4D lounge theater that’s climate controlled with smell-a-vision and seats 16 gamers at once on proprietary simulator seats.  It features four jumbo-sized HDTV displays and 14 video game systems.  The hottest games to be offered include New Super Mario Brothers, NFL for PS3, NBA Live ’09, Guitar Hero 3 & World Tour, Halo 3, XBOX Kinect, and many more for boys and girls, men and women alike.  Gamers will play in groups of four interacting with each other and competing in tournaments.  It will be the ultimate interactive party experience complete with sounds and special effect lighting.

If that wasn’t enough, set up outside the trailer will be 16 i-Dance pads for a video dance party!  The massive multi-player version of Dance Dance Revolution will allow players to try their best to match their moves to the music in this rhythm-based game that promotes teamwork, cooperation, friendly competition, and an active lifestyle.  The fast-paced Dance-A-Thon promises to be fun for all ages.

These activities are being sponsored by the Jefferson Arts Committee and the Jefferson Township Recreation Department.   Wristbands will be sold to participate in these activities at a nominal fee, but admission to the field is free until 5:30 pm when a $2 admission fee for adults and a $1 admission fee for those under 18 goes into effect.

Information about all the day’s and evening’s events is available at www.jeffersonarts.org and www.jeffersontownship.net or by calling 973-697-2032 or 697-3828.
