The music of Buddy Holly lives on at August 17 Gazebo Concert
The Jefferson Arts Committee’s Gazebo Committee is pleased to announce that Rave On will perform in the 2012 free summer concert series on Friday evening August 17. The show will be held in the beautiful Victorian gazebo located in the Jefferson Township Municipal Complex, 1033 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ beginning at 7 pm.
Rave On features the music of Buddy Holly, with such memorable hits as That’ll be the Day, Peggy Sue, Not Fade Away, Oh boy, It’s So Easy, and Rave On along with other classic early rock ‘n roll songs. Come listen and dance to the music that paved the way for rock ‘n roll and influenced the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Boy Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and countless other artists. Bring a blanket or chair and non-alcoholic beverages, picnic dinners, and snacks are permitted on the grounds unless the concert is moved indoors due to weather conditions. In the event of the threat of inclement weather or such weather, the concert will be moved indoors to the Jefferson Township High School auditorium, 1010 Weldon Road.
