Jefferson Township Community Chorus presents its holiday concert
The Heavens at the Holidays
The Jefferson Township Community Chorus will present its Christmas concert, “The Heavens at the Holidays” on Sunday, December 5th, 3:00 p.m. at St. Thomas R.C. Church, 5635 Berkshire Valley Rd, Milton. New director Cherwyn Ambuter and Margaret Brandell, accompanist, will lead the group in some exciting holiday music, most of which will allude to visions in the heavens – long ago at the first Christmas, the vision young children hope to see with Santa's sleigh, or the snowfall in winter. Included will be music from hundreds of years ago all the way up to some rockin' contemporary music that will be sure to get your toes tappin’.
We are pleased to also feature the White Rock School 5th Grade Chorus, directed by Jan Courtney. They will sing some songs of their own and will participate in 2 numbers with the Community Chorus.
Come on out and kick off your Christmas season with some great music! Refreshments will be served following the concert.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students, $5 for children 12 and under and may be purchased in advance by calling Janet Breckenridge (973-697-8124) or Toni Tarighi (973-668-7861). Tickets will also be available at the door.
The next open membership time for those wishing to sing with the Chorus will begin in February 2011. The Community Chorus is sponsored by the Jefferson Arts Committee.
