CARNABY STREET TO PLAY IN THE JEFFERSON TWP 2015 GAZEBO SERIES ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 21

The Jefferson Arts Committee’s Gazebo Committee is pleased to announce that the band Carnaby Street will perform in their 2015 free summer concert series on Friday evening, August21 at 7 PM at the beautiful Victorian gazebo located in the Jefferson Township Municipal Complex, 1033 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ. This concert is being sponsored by the Jefferson Township Library.

Carnaby Street is a band that takes their listeners on a musical experience of the 1960’s.  Featuring music from the British Invasion along with various American artists, Carnaby Street breathes new life into the songs that are fondly remembered as the cornerstones for popular music’s favorite era:  The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Moody Blues, The Who, The Dave Clark Five, The Bee Gees, The Hollies to Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, The Monkees, The Byrds and One-hit-Wonders of the time. Carnaby Street is living proof that the music from the 1960’s is timeless and continues to appeal to people of all ages.

Attendees are asked to bring a blanket or chair for their comfort; and non-alcoholic beverages, picnic dinners, and snacks are permitted on the grounds unless the concert is moved indoors due to weather conditions. In the event of the threat of inclement weather or such weather, the concert will be moved to the Jefferson Township High School Auditorium located up the street at 1010 Weldon Road. For information and updates, call 973-697-2032 or 973-697-3828, log on to www.jeffersonarts.org or www.jeffersontownship.net

Come out on Friday evening, August 21 – what a great way to end the week and wind down for the weekend. Remember, dancing and singing along is always encouraged at the summer concerts; and free-will donations are always gratefully appreciated.
